brown sugar, packed 500 mL 2 cups 1.76 cups 1.06 pints
corn/golden syrup 125 mL Ā½ cup 0.44 cup 0.53 cup
salt 2 Ā½ mL Ā½ tsp Ā½ tsp Ā½ tsp
vanilla extract 2 Ā½ mL Ā½ tsp Ā½ tsp Ā½ tsp
baking soda 1 Ā¼ mL Ā¼ tsp Ā¼ tsp Ā¼ tsp

Directions

There is a preheat step in this recipe.

  1. Pop the unpopped popcorn and spread on one or more cooking sheets (one 9ā€ x 13ā€ or two 8ā€ x 8ā€).
  2. Combine the margarine , brown sugar, packed , corn/golden syrup , and salt in a pan.
  3. Stir over medium heat until boiling, and boil while stirring for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda .
  5. Toss over popcorn and bake for one hour at 120Ā°C/250Ā°F , tossing every 15 minutes.
